Kinderoo School Readiness

Preparing to begin elementary school for the first time is exciting!  It is also a great opportunity for children and parents/caregivers and family members to learn together.  We recognize that parents/caregivers are the best teachers of their children.  The goal of Kinderoo is to provide Huron County parents/caregivers with tools and resources to engage their children in preparing together for their education.

Our school readiness resources and support for Huron County families are funded through investments by Ontario Ministry of Education and Public Health Agency of Canada.

Parents, grandparents and other family members are encouraged to borrow from our Toy Lending Library.  We offer a wide array of toys, reading books, games and puzzles for young children.  Available resources focus on practicing and building skills for healthy child development.  The reading books address specific issues that may arise when helping children learn, for example sleepovers, coping with nightmares, toilet learning, welcoming new siblings, going to school, personal safety and friendships.

Just stop by the office, located at 58 Mary Street in Clinton during regular office hours.  There is no charge for borrowing items and loan times vary.
