I am excited about the evolution of Rural Response for Healthy Children! Working for an organization that is invested and committed to improving the well-being of vulnerable families is exactly where I want to be right now. I am passionate about healthy work environments. My goal is to ensure that employees have what they need to successfully achieve their work and that the organization responds to community needs.
My education background includes a MAES in Economic Development and a BES in Geography and Political Science from the University of Waterloo. I also have a Community Development Certificate from Cape Breton University.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be? I would split my time between The Big Island of Hawaii (ocean and warmth) and Paris, France (art and food).
What was the last movie you went to? What did you think? Go to a movie? No thanks. The last movie I watched on Netflix was “The Final Year” documentary about the Obama Administration’s final year in office. The most striking message to me was, “Words cannot give voice to suffering. We have a shared responsibility to look into eyes of history so that we know what not to do again. We need to change our mindset.”
If you could share a meal with any 4 famous individuals, living or dead, who would they be? If they are still living, there is a chance I could meet them, right?! So I picked those who have passed on; Gertrude Stein (the Stein Salon in Paris, need I say more?), Emily Carr (art and nature), Teddy Kennedy (political dynasty) and George Michael (music and laughter).
