The  S.N.A.P. program works directly with parents, caregivers and teachers to develop individualized personal safety plans for young children with different abilities.

Over the years, we have collected a variety of resources that are available for lending. The facilitator has also noticed a lack of suitable, inclusive resources for her work, so she developed a series of books starring the one and only SNAP to teach children basic concepts about love, friendship, privacy, touch, disclosure, friendship, differences.

Most recently we have added a coloring book, a video, and a board game to the collection! Children, parents, caregivers and teachers all love using these resources!

Decision Making about self and community prevents destruction of autonomy. Respect prevents stereotyping. Recognizing Gifts and Talents prevents devaluing others. Unlimited Choice prevents restriction. Acceptance prevents poor attitudes. Inclusion prevents exclusion. Communication prevents barriers. Interdependence lessens dependence on services. Friendships are immeasurable and prevent isolation.
