Lending
The mobile resource library provides a wide selection of
toys such as building sets, trucks, and dramatic play
sets, puzzles, games, puppets, costumes, story books, gross motor development items such as ride-on toys
and balance boards (rocker and maze styles), books and
resources for parents, DVDs, CDs and
Theme Kits. These
resources enhance the developmental and intellectual
growth of both children and caregivers.
Event Lending - Having a Birthday Party,
Reunion or other Event and wondering what activities to
have?
Why not borrow an assortment of items that will interest
and occupy the children attending your next event from
the Toy Library? Call or drop in to the Rural Response
for Healthy Children office in Clinton. For $20 you can
choose up to 10 items from our vast selection of games
and toys and borrow them over a weekend or a brief
period of time as needed. Contact us at

Theme Kits are Available from T.H.E. Bus
We have a good selection of Theme Kits available for
lending from our Resource Library. Inside each kit you
will find a variety of puzzles, activities, videos/DVDs,
tapes/CDs, posters, books etc…etc. that deal with a
specific topic.
All kits may be reserved for certain dates as needed.
Please use the check list inside to be sure that all
items are back in the kit when you return it.

providers in Huron County is accessible.
Postings for programs, activities or events are kept
current to let you know what is happening in your
community and the surrounding areas.
Lending is open to the general public and includes
families, extended families, service providers (both
home based and centre based), as well as schools and
seasonal programs.
Fee Structure - There is a nominal fee for membership to
the lending library system allowing for some of the
costs of replacing packaging and missing pieces. An
active membership is required to borrow items.
Families can pay $20/yr. (or what you can when you can)
allowing them to borrow up to 5 items every two weeks.
Service providers may choose to have a membership
allowing them up to 15 items at a time for a fee of
$50/yr.
Seasonal memberships for those that would like a
temporary (up to 3 consecutive months) membership are
available for $10.
Gift certificates are also available from T.H.E.
BUS and
make a wonderful gift for a young family that gives all
year long!
Notes – To ensure fair access/distribution there is a
limit of 1 large item for regular memberships and 2-3
large items for service provider memberships, depending
on availability.
Membership policies require members to properly
clean/disinfect toys and resources before returning
them. A solution of one part disinfectant (bleach or
peroxide are suitable) to 10 parts water is recommended.
