Jill Robertson

Parent Support Worker

For the love of fitness. Work hard, play hard, sleep.

I am passionate about health and fitness. I love to keep active and play sports. In addition, my second passion has always been to educate. I work hard and wear my heart on my sleeve. At one point I felt it was in the classroom with children, but educating it is much more than in the classroom to me now. It is every day educating and supporting many families in our community. I like the daily changes and working with parents and children.  I went to Brock University and received a BA in Child in Youth Studies. I also completed my Masters of Science, Education at D’Youville College in Buffalo.

I have worked at RRHC twice! I started my career in educating in 2004. I was fresh out of university and ready to take on a career. I was hired to do supply for THE Bus program, which then turned into a full time position with THE Bus as a Mobile Resource Librarian. During this time, I also provided child care for the Parent Support Team during parenting programs. In addition, I was also a Kinderoo- School Readiness teacher in Goderich.  I then decided to go to teachers college in Buffalo and left to do so for a year and a half. When I finished school I got a part time job at the Goderich Daycare. Then I had an opportunity to take on a mat leave here at RRHC as a part time Parent Support Education Worker. After the year mat leave, I was hired full time as Parent Support worker. I have now worked at RRHC for almost 8 years.
