For more than 60 years, the Huron County Christmas Bureau has brought our community together to support local families facing financial challenges during the holidays.

Each year, community donations help provide over 600 families, including more than 1400 children, with gift cards for groceries and toy retailers. This helps parents and caregivers put a holiday meal on the table and choose gifts for their children, even when money is tight.
With the cost of groceries, housing, and everyday essentials continuing to rise, your support matters more than ever.

The Huron County Christmas Bureau is funded entirely through community donations and supported by volunteers. Every year, individuals, families, businesses, schools, churches, and community groups come together to help local children and families.
When you give to the Christmas Bureau, you're helping parents and caregivers provide groceries and gifts for their children during a time of year when household budgets can be especially stretched.

Donate in-person
Cash and cheque donations will be accepted at our local Christmas Bureau locations from November 30 to December 4, 2026, between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. See the locations listed below for addresses.

Charitable tax receipts are issued for donations of $20 or more.​​

Looking for support for your family?
The Huron County Christmas Bureau is here to support eligible parents and caregivers who need a little extra help during the holiday season.

To register, you must:

Live in Huron County

Have custody of your children

Be registering children who are 18 years of age or younger

Registration is by phone during the below registration period only.
​
2026 Registration Dates: November 16 to December 4
Phone hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM
​
If the phone line is busy, please call back. Due to the high volume of calls, volunteers are unable to return missed calls.
Eligible parents and caregivers will be scheduled a private appointment at their nearest Christmas Bureau location during the week of December 7.
​
Please note that families must register through Christmas Central before attending an appointment. Local Bureau locations cannot provide support to families who have not registered.

Rural Response for Healthy Children oversees the program, which is funded entirely through community donations and supported by dedicated volunteers. The Bureau has grown and adapted over the years to meet the changing needs of families in Huron County. We are grateful to the Huron-Perth Children's Aid Society for its ongoing partnership and support, as well as the many volunteers, local Bureau sites, donors, and community partners who help make this program possible each year.
